Now in its sixth year of programming, the DIY Network aims to continue providing step-by-step solutions to home building and home improvement problems. Rubber-Cal's outdoor rubber flooring to appear on an upcoming DIY (Do It Yourself) Network's, Grounds for Improvement series. DIY set to use 1" Eco-Sport rubber tiles to remodel a patio.

According to the DIY Network website, Grounds for Improvement is designed to help homeowners problem-solve and complete do-it-yourself landscaping projects. With the assistance of professional landscape designer Dean Hill, each homeowner devises and completes landscape renovation to fit his/her specific needs. Unlike other home improvement shows, the do-it-yourself motto of the show makes Grounds for Improvement very practical; with the help of relatives and friends, homeowners complete the landscaping project without professional labor. Within a limited amount of time, this program shows how a homeowner can transform an inconvenient outdoor space into the centerpiece of a well-groomed landscape.

For this project, renovation focused on a slightly unkempt patio area. Along with laying an attractive, durable flooring surface, the homeowner added container plants and repaired the fence. In addition to aesthetic concerns, the flooring had to provide a degree of resilience as well (i.e. be kid-friendly).
