Silicone rubber comes in many different colors. This translucent silicone rubber is just one of example of a varieties of silicones out there. In fact, this semi-clear silicone sheet is one of the more popular types of silicone rubber products obtained by industry. Like other silicone rubbers, this material is very resistant to extreme temperature conditions. It can function as both a cold and heat resistant sheet material. With a durometer rating of 50 Shore A, it has a moderate level of flexibility for the commercial grade applications it is used in.
Translucent Silicone: This sheet rubber's physical appearance is perhaps it's biggest attraction. People like to use these silicone rubber products for both aesthetic and functional reasons. The versatile nature of this semi-clear silicone sheet is useful for use in applications where you might want the specific part to either blend in or stand out in a contrast to everything around it. One can even make out a surface or object through the body of the material. Translucent silicone is particularly popular for food packaging, laboratory, and electronic applications.
Heat Resistant Sheet Rubber: Few other elastomers can survive in high heat conditions the way that silicone can. Silicone rubber products are regularly used in applications that will involve the present of very extreme temperature conditions. In fact, this material is not just a heat resistant sheet. It can also survive being placed in extremely cold situations. It's specific operating temperature range is between -103 F and 450 F.
50 Durometer Rubber: This commercial grade translucent silicone rubber is moderately flexible due to a durometer rating of 50 Shore A. Durometer measures how resistant against physical abrasions and indentations that a rubber is. 50A is a mid-level rating that indicates that the rubber is suitable for only light commercial grade physical tasks. The kinds of silicone rubber products made from this material will be more suitable as temperature resistant parts that offer some elasticity.
