In contrast to the usual black color of other elastomers, this translucent silicone sheet rubber is a milky transparent rubber material that is highly sought after for both its resistance to extreme temperature conditions and its aesthetic value. It is a non-marking rubber that can serve as an excellent substitute for other materials like plastics. Use this high-temp silicone rubber wherever the superior quality of a rubber part is needed.
Clear Silicone: The most obvious and distinguishing feature of this silicone material is its translucent and almost see-through appearance. While it shares most of the same resistance properties as other silicone rubbers, its translucent appearance is what sets this material apart. This makes the high-temp silicone material a non-marking rubber. It can be used in various applications without leaving any stains or marks on other parts and surfaces. Translucent silicone rubber is used whenever the visual aspect of an application is important. It can give your project a sleek and professional appearance.
Temperature Resistance: Whether your application is low temp or high temp, silicone rubber will have no problem functioning in such conditions. This transparent rubber can endure temperatures that fall as low as -103° F. On the other hand, it can function in temperatures that reach as high as 450° F. Given this excellent working range, this almost clear silicone can survive and function in a great variety of settings.
Pliable Material: This silicone sheet rubber is great for use in areas that require some flexibility from their parts. The translucent silicone material has a durometer of 55-65, meaning that it offers a moderate degree of pliability and elasticity. Although it has a better level of flexibility, it has less resistance to physical indentation than those elastomers of a higher durometer rating. However, the practical purposes of clear silicone is suited to call for a better degree of elasticity, so the medium durometer rating of this silicone sheet rubber is the right middle ground between durability and flexibility for your application.
