Clear silicone will eventually yellow over time due to prolonged exposure to light and other various environmental factors, including humidity and excessive moisture, that may not be ad damaging to dark colored silicone such as black silicone rubber. Silicone rubber is an extremely durable material that is able to withstand the harsh conditions of the outdoors and abrasive temperatures; however, too much exposure can accelerate the rate of aging. In addition, there are several different causes of decolorization in clear silicone rubber.
