This skirtboard flap rubber piece is available in two thickness options. You can choose between 1/8” and 1/4” thick rubber. If none is requested at the time of the order, the default thickness is the 1/4" piece, which is what came on the trucks originally. Some customers like the 1/8” front flap since it does flex more and allows debris to pass through easier.
Conveyor Belt Rubber Rear Flap: The rear flap that goes on these Schwarze® sweepers is made of conveyor belt rubber. This synthetic rubber is a heavy-duty material that is used in many industries as an abrasion resistance rubber sheet. It is used in any application where durability is mandated. This particular flap rubber is inserted with a 3ply fabric 0.41” thick, which means that it is very strong and well suited for the physical demands that come along with street sweeping.
