Red silicone is a Premium Grade synthetic elastomer that exhibits excellent characteristics in high and low temperatures. Its most distinguishing physical feature is its red color. Its red appearance makes it ideal for certain applications that have a need for aesthetic demands. The red color is well suited to industrial applications that require a distinguishable rubber part. This higher-end silicone material is ideal for use in applications that require parts to function in extreme temperature conditions. Premium silicone sheeting is meant for use as seal and gasket material for various commercial and industrial applications. Featuring a great level of resistance against various kinds of chemicals, this red colored silicone elastomer is available to consumers in a range of customized sizes.
Heat Resistant Material: Silicone is known for being the go-to rubber whenever a job requires the presence of extreme temperatures. Our red silicone sheet rubber has a great working temperature range that allows it to endure temperatures as high as 500° F. However, while this silicone sheeting can endure the rigors of harsh high temperatures, it can just as easily survive in temperatures that go below freezing. On the low end of the temperature scale, this Premium Grade silicone material can operate in environments as cold as -103° F.
Excellent Chemical Resistance: The red colored silicone elastomer features all the great chemical resistance properties that other silicone elastomers have. However, since this is Premium Grade silicone rubber, it is stronger at resisting chemicals than standard Commercial Grade silicone. Red silicone can resist various oils, lime sulfur, methyl ether, sodium sulfate, and many more chemical substances that can be detrimental to other elastomers.
Durometer Options: This silicone sheeting material is available in different durometer ratings. Durometer is the measurement of an elastomer’s physical durability and elasticity. The higher the durometer is, the stronger the material will be. The lower the durometer rating, then the material will be more flexible and pliable. The lowest durometer rating that this heat resistant material comes in is 40, meaning that the colored silicone sheet is highly elastic but not very durable against physical indentations. The next durometer grade is 50, offering a better level of physical durability while still being flexible. 60 durometer silicone rubber is harder and less flexible, while the 70 durometer red silicone is highly durable with limited flexibility.
