Description:

This FDA Grade Silicone sheeting is commonly used in applications where food or consumables are present.  The ingredients used to make this product are listed in CFR 177. 2600, an FDA regulation dealing with rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food.  It is resistant to both high and low temperature extremes, and is commonly used for gasketing solutions in harsh environments.

PSA:

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (Tyco 3281A) is available in a standard PSA acrylic (200F continuous 225F intermittent) version and a HTAPSA high temperature acrylic (350F continuous 450F intermittent) version.

Chemical Resistance:

Excellent resistance to Acetic Acid, Ammonia Gas (hot and cold), Corn Oil, Fish Oil, Lime Sulfur, Methyl Ether, Ozone, Sodium Sulfate, Tartaric Acid, Vinegar, and many more.  For Silicones compatibility with your specific medium please consult a Rubber-Cal representative.

Application:

High-Temperature Gasketing, Food Processing, Laboratory Equipment, Chemical Resistance, Low Compression Materials, FDA approved Applications.

Flexibility:

This medium durometer (55-65) sheet rubber offers moderate pliability and elasticity.

Custom Cuts:

In addition to hand fabrication, this product can be fabricated using laser, die, and water-jet cutting.  Please submit your drawings for a price quote.

FDA Grade Silicone sheeting is commonly used in applications where food or consumables are present, such as commercial kitchens, pharmaceutical processing, and meat packing plants. The ingredients used to make this product are listed in CFR 177. 2600. Silicone FDA has a working temperature of up to 450 Fahrenheit.  Silicone FDA is available in gauges from 1/32" to 1/4" thick. It is resistant to both high and low temperature extremes, and is commonly used for gasketing solutions in harsh environments.  Silicone FDA is a non-marking rubber sheet. It is considered a premium grade silicone sheet good and highly recommended for chemical resistant or corrosive applications.
