Nitrile (otherwise known as Buna-N) is the answer to applications where frequent chemical exposure is anticipated. Whether you're looking for a product with grease, chemical, and/or oil resistance, Nitrile offers it all. Nitrile sheet rubber is resistant to oil, solvents, and fuels, which means that it is applicable for padding, seals, or gaskets for exposures ranging from animal fat to diesel fuel. Nitrile is available in black or white, solid rubber sheets and as Closed Cell Sponge sheets. Closed Cell Sponge sheets are perfect for seals and general gasket applications where compression is a factor as well as chemical resistance.
Nitrile is available in 20-50 linear feet & in thicknesses ranging from 1/16" to 1/2" with 36" widths. Recommended for applications involving greasy and oily tables and occasions where one is frequently working with oil or grease as a lubricant; you could use this product to cover the section of work table most frequently used, or the entire area. Nitrile sheet rubber and Nitrile sponge rubber both offer superior oil resistance while sustaining the abrasion resistance that your application may require.
Compared to Neoprene (which is a more cost effective sheet rubber that will withstand moderate and less frequent oil and chemical exposures), Nitrile is better suited for applications where constant grease or petroleum exposure is anticipated (i.e. automotive applications or seals for well lubricated machines). For large orders, Nitrile rubber sheets can also be dye, water jet, or laser cut to your specifications.
Send us a drawing and we'll let you know what services we can provide you. So whether you're looking for a seal for a meat grinder or a gasket for a car engine, Nitrile might be exactly what you're looking for.

Grease and Oil Resistant Rubber Sheet is a product that has many applications. Nitrile (also known as Buna-N) is an ideal choice for applications where frequent chemical exposure and greasy conditions are anticipated. In conditions where grease, oils, and chemicals are of a concern, Nitrile can offer protection against all. Nitrile sheet rubber has great resistance to oil, solvents, and fuels which makes it a great material to be used as padding, seals, and gaskets. The exposures in these applications can rage anywhere from animal fats to diesel fuels. Nitrile is also available in several different forms. It is available in black or white colors, and comes in solid rubber sheets and Closed Cell Sponge sheets. These closed cell sponge sheets are ideal for general sealing and gasketing applications where both compression and chemical resistance are factors.
Nitrile comes in 36” widths and lengths of up to 50 feet, and is available in a variety of thicknesses ranging from 1/16” to ½”. Nitrile is great for applications where greases and oils are used as lubricants or where greasy and oily tables are present. For greasy tables, Nitrile can be used to cover the table and can even be used to cover the entire area. Both Nitrile sheet rubber and closed cell sponge rubber have great grease and oil resistant properties and also have the ability to maintain abrasion resistant qualities that some applications may require. In comparison to Neoprene rubber (more cost effective product but with less chemical and oil resistant properties), Nitrile is more appropriate for applications that anticipate heavy oil and chemical exposure (i.e. automotive applications or seals for well lubricated machines). For large orders, Nitrile rubber sheets can also be dye, water jet, or laser cut to your specifications. If interested in custom fabrications, feel free to send us your engineered drawings or prints and we’ll let you know what types of services we may be able to provide. So whether it’s a seal for a meat grinder or a gasket for a car engine, Nitrile might be the sheet rubber product that you are looking for.
